Day 1 – Tirana to Berat
- Pick up your car and head south to Berat (approx. 2 hours).
- Explore the UNESCO-listed city:
• Berat Castle and the Onufri Iconography Museum
• Stroll through Mangalem & Gorica quarters
• Cross the Ottoman-era bridge and enjoy sunset views - Overnight in Berat’s charming old town.
Day 2 – Berat to Saranda or Ksamil
- Depart from Berat to the southern coast (approx. 4.5 hrs).
- Optional stop in Gjirokaster, another UNESCO town:
• Visit the Castle, Bazaar, and Ottoman-style houses - Continue to Saranda or Ksamil and check in for a relaxing 2-night beach stay.
- Dinner by the Ionian Sea.
Day 3 – Relax in Ksamil & Visit Butrint
- Spend your day at the famous Ksamil beaches, known for white sand and turquoise waters.
- Afternoon visit to Butrint National Park (UNESCO site) and Ali Pasha Castle.
- Enjoy seafood dinner and a peaceful overnight in Ksamil or Saranda.
Day 4 – The Albanian Riviera Drive: Saranda to Vlora
- Start the scenic drive along the Albanian Riviera (approx. 4.5 hrs with stops):
• Pass through Himara, Dhermi, and Llogara Pass
• Enjoy dramatic coastal views, traditional villages, and hidden coves - Arrive in Vlora, where the Adriatic meets the Ionian.
- Overnight in Vlora, with dinner by the sea promenade.
Day 5 – Vlora to Tirana via Apollonia
Drop off the rental car either in the city or directly at Tirana Airport, depending on your travel plans.
Morning visit to Apollonia Archaeological Park (approx. 1 hr from Vlora)
• Explore ancient ruins, a monastery, and beautiful countryside views
Continue your journey back to Tirana (approx. 2 hrs).
